Well this fandom doesn’t exactly fit the profile for asking, but do you have any opinions on the favorite burger and toppings of Jamie, Keeley, and Roy?
What fandoms do fit the profile, nonny? I'm genuinely curious!
Disclaimer: I know fuck all about burger culture and trends in the UK, so if this seems odd, bear in mind it's written in a Swedish context.
Roy likes to keep it simple most of the time, allowing the produce to properly shine. Beef, cheese, tiny bit of mayo, tiny bit of ketchup - maybe some onion and pickles if he's in the right mood. Everything needs to be really good quality, though: the patty should be juicy and not too lean, bursting with flavour, probably a bit pink in the center and with the outside Maillard reacted to meat taste heaven. Sometimes he might lean into truffle mayo and roasted onions as well, really giving it up for the extravagent richness of it. (And sometimes he just wants something cheap and greasy and saggy from the nearest shop, sad lettuce and pale tomatoes and a classic hamburger dressing on a horrible ready-made patty in a boring bun, 'cause Nostalgia.)
Keeley usually goes for chicken; breaded, with a lovely, rich, punchy parmesan dressing, diced tomatoes, and mixed leaves with roasted garlic and fresh herbs. However, when she's drunk she just wants a classic and lots of it: double meat, so much cheese and dressing. The particulars of it matters less, as long as it's A LOT. (She always removes any pickles, though.)
Jamie, when he can indulge, often chooses beef, topped with bacon, mayo, BBQ sauce, onion rings, pickled jalapeños, and cheese. A little over the top, messy, spicy, and sweet. He is the most experimental of them, and the one most likely to try new and seemingly weird combinations and specials. (When the above burger - minus the mayo and onion rings - is served in a donut he is ALL over it.) Roy scoffs, but usually finds himself goaded into trying a bite, and sometimes it's even good.

natsuki and fumiko for @the-only-teruteru-fan's contest!
(i love how with kuzupeko fankids the gene pool is often so evenly split, like no dominant or submissive genes, just 50/50. fuyuhiko and peko would be so happy)
edit: it is too late but. recessive genes.

horror should NOT be physically strong he should be a weak asshole. that man has NOT EATEN JACKSHIT (except potentially a small bottle of ketchup made by aliza) in the past 7 years why the HELL would he be physically strong at all. where is that strength coming from. the air??? it can't even be the damn air in horrortale because the horrortale air is STRAIGHT UP POISONED 😭😭 (bro look at grillby) so where is he getting the strength to be the most physically fit of the mtt (and by extension bad sansee i GUESS).
ok MAYBE he's able to rip off aliza'a arm easily but all thing considered A. he was going through an episode and there was probably a lot of adrenaline B. aliza probably isn't a very hard child to hurt and C. she was fresh off the grill. maybe it was easier than it looked idk. but either way i don't think he should be strong. maybe like not weak enough to fall over in the wind like a stack of cards but like.... majority of the time we see of the guy he's using traps. he's scheming. he's ratty. he seems like the type of guy to play dirty and mess with you to get what he wants. i just think that the cheating lying does anything to survive type of guy horror is would work better with someone who's much more physically frail than people depict him to be. he's not as strong as he was 7 years ago (when was his eye removed again??? during the 7 years or right when. idk someone make a horrortale timeline) so he's had to resort to dirtier tricks and manipulative moves and he has to weaken the humans he meets just to kill them. he has his little hand drill thing to immediately put a human's hand out of condition so they can't fight with that. puts the humans through traps so he won't need to use strength to kill them. sends them to grillby's so they'll be mentally worse off after seeing the othe monsters. makes psychological jokes (not just because its funny to him) so that the humans will also be more worse in the head and scared. it just fits better to me idk. the guy in the rough situation should be weak as hell because then he'll have to claw and innovate his way to survival instead pf just instantly being strong
i never got how people could make horrortale monsters so strong physically when we very much so see that the famine has affected them to the point that theyre literally dusting on screen from no food and are skinnier than fucking twigs. if those are the other horrortale monsters then horror's probably not any better and is literally only alive out of sheer spite and his eye. make the guy weak its cool to break stereotypes

I've been thinking a lot (again) about how good of a dad Bob is in "The Laser-Inth" 😭
I put it on the list of my favorite episodes for a reason.
The fact that Bob did not hesitate for even a second to take Gene out of the auditorium when Gene was freaking out because of the loud noise speaks volumes. He didn't get upset, raise his voice, or show any angry emotion at having to miss his birthday performance. Instead, he prioritized Gene's emotions first and foremost, because his son being safe, comfortable, and happy is his first priority, which was being impacted by the show. Even when Gene expressed his guilt at Bob having to miss his BIRTHDAY performance, which he had likely been planning and looking forward to for months, he didn't care in the slightest, even reassuring Gene it was all right.
And when they got back into the car, he decided to compromise rather than be upset, which he had a right to be. He put on a tape of the band that was playing in the auditorium, hoping that Gene would appreciate listening to it more at a much lower volume. And Gene did enjoy it more after an extremely wholesome bonding moment, even wanting to watch the ending of the performance. And Bob also didn't get upset at Gene for changing his mind so quickly, he actually paid forty-five dollars to get back into the auditorium and even made Gene a pair of makeshift earbuds which is so 🥺
This man is the ABSOLUTE BEST example of how a parent should be. Not to mention the ending where he mishears Gene saying "I had fun, dad!" and thinks Gene said "I love you, dad!" and says he loves Gene back 😩👌🏼

Rosie's Favorite (currently finished/caught up) Podcasts:
The Amelia Project - silly, quirky, morbid but almost always more jaunty and eccentric than completely dark. Great for anyone who loves 'narrator' or interview type podcasts. If I'm not mistaken, I've posted some of my thoughts on here using the pod's hashtag.
The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbitity, and Mortality - another narrator type podcast, and probably my favorite of all time. The main voice you hear is perfect imo and keeps you engaged in all the right ways, bringing tension where it's needed, and levity where it's funny or odd. Absolutely consumed this podcast with a voraciousness I haven't felt for a bit. Keeps you guessing and always wanting more from every exhibit.
Victoriocity - excellent voice acting, interesting and unique premise and setting, and great plot. One of the podcasts I'm most looking forward to returning :) think steam punk but also it's the 1800s still in weird ways. If you love an old timey British accent, you'll love this haha.
The White Vault - probably my favorite specifically horror podcast, that makes you wait for answers in a craving sort of way, a longing to know what's going on, and not slogging through a bunch of filler to then get answers. It's great, gorey, geographically diverse fun. Interesting mashups of various cultures re: mythology, history, religion(?). Another on my list to watch out for the return of.
Midnight Burger: the quick pitch is - a time traveling diner that always services people in need, no matter what time, space, or dimension they may reside in. Excellent cast of characters, great development, wonderful implementation of a new character(s), and in general a very comfortable vibe to return to (speaking of, once I run out of recommendations I may relisten to this one). Highly recommend if you like sitcoms with time travel splashed with a bit of horror.
Edit: just finished up another one, so time to add it to the list!!
Monstrous Agonies: A radio show advice segment, about, by, and for the Creature Community. If you like WTNV, but find it a bit intense sometimes, or a bit too plot heavy/etc, you'll absolutely love this. Instead of the whole show, you just get the advice segment, but oh ho ho, is it so much more than that. If you're queer, BIMPOC, from a blended/mixed/broken/anything but 'typical' home... I think you'll like it. Very much what I would call 'easy listening', meaning you can just ease into an episode without having to remember a huge cast of characters, a plots b plots C plots meta plots... And it just feels *real*, in that strange and beautiful way WTNV does, but instead of a fictional town, the setting is the real world, with real problems, and real solutions. Sometimes you really do just need to howl or cry or chew on some slippers and that's OK. Highly recommend for ADHD havers or anyone with a short attention span who loves a soothing voice.
Edit: Another absolute banger to add to the list
Wooden Overcoats - how do I even properly describe the experience of this podcast. Let's start with the basics: It's the story of twins who run a funeral parlor on a small island, in a small village. Their family has been running said parlor for hundreds of years, as the only funeral directors on the island. Until one day... They aren't. A man arrives and sets up his own funeral parlor directly across the square, and boy, do things change for those twins. If you've listened to (and loved) Victoriocity, or The Amelia Project, I guarantee you'll enjoy this one. Strange, silly, and interesting things are always happening, except this one doesn't have quite as much drama (well...... Perhaps a different kind of drama. I'd call this an interpersonal dramedy, with emphasis on the comedy). An incredible listen, through and through. I thoroughly enjoyed every single episode, and the ending was quite safisfying :)
Another EXCELLENT addition to this ever increasing list of content!!! I'm not even finished with this one, I just love it so much that I can't help but add it to the list:
Mission Rejected - you know in those spy movies, where the spy gets a secret message from HQ and they say 'your mission, if you choose to accept it...' ok great. Now imagine if 007 said 'no'. This is the story about the backups, the team that takes the missions rejected by the Top Spy Guy. It's got diverse voice acting (in many senses of the word - you can tell the voices apart, it's not exclusively straight cis white dudes, etc etc), wonderful worldbuilding, great pacing, an excellent plot, I really could go on and on. I highly recommend this specific podcast to anyone who wants something light to get deeply invested in, that has a lot of comedy but also develops the characters outside of just their bits. 100/10 no notes
Edit: not sure which podcast/podcast enthusiast rb'ed this yesterday but I'm so glad more folks get to see this list!!! It makes me so happy that lots of folks enjoy this list, a d share their fave ones, and!!!! Aaaggghhhhhhhhh!!! I love podcasts and podcast enthusiasts!!!!!
Also I have another one for yall :3 if you're looking for another improv comedy to add to your list!!!
Hey Riddle Riddle - exactly what you think it is, but also so much more. Three friends/coworkers who also happen to be sensational improv comedians solve riddles and puzzles together, while also introducing bits and skits and reoccurring segments, so it never feels like 'just a Riddle podcast' (whatever that means). I have laughed every single episode, which is a big deal for me (some comedy podcasts only make me laugh every few episodes, and I require at LEAST one laugh per episode). I can genuinely say this is one of the funniest podcasts I've ever listened to, and the absolute best improv I've ever heard. I'm all for committing to the bit, and this one absolutely delivers on both the commitment part and the bit part haha. Seriously can't recommend this one enough if you maybe listen to a lot of drama/horror and need something easy to listen to (easy meaning there's not a plot you have to be intensely listening for, you can just enjoy it casually). 1000/10, please listen and also tell me YOUR favorite riddles :)
